Chepkwony Presides Over Workshop on Productivity, Commits to Excellence at KDIC

                                                                               

The Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation’s Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Hellen Chepkwony, has lauded the ongoing collaboration between the Corporation and three other government agencies, aimed at strengthening KDIC’s delivery in relation to its mandate.

Mrs. Chepkwony says that the partnership, will enable KDIC to enhance its Performance Management Framework as well as build the capacity of its staff making them excellent performers in the public service.

She noted that KDIC was in the process of strengthening its performance management system that will also see staff playing a critical role in fostering an organizational culture that promotes high-impact delivery of services at minimal cost.

She made the remarks during s staff workshop on productivity facilitated the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) in conjunction with the National Productivity and Competitiveness Center (NPCC). “Today marks the next phase of setting a strong foundation for application of comprehensive staff productivity measurement matrices. The public service productivity is a transformative agenda that will enable the government to drive and align the entire public service towards competitiveness, high and sustained revenue growth, improved service delivery, increased profitability, and improved remuneration,” she observed

The workshop was in line with SRC’s framework of recognizing productivity and performance in the public sector. The framework requires public institutions to develop their own productivity measures and implement them upon approval by SRC.

Mrs. Chepkwony said that the Corporation was determined to be among state corporations championing implementation of the performance measurement and staff productivity framework.

She added that: “KDIC seeks to partner with SRC & NPCC to develop this productivity measurement framework that shall inform our achievements in our new Strategic Plan 2023-2028”.
