Stakeholder Engagement Forum on Single Customer View

The Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC) successfully hosted a Stakeholder Engagement Forum on the Single Customer View (SCV) initiative on Thursday, 11th September 2025. The forum brought together a wide range of stakeholders from the financial sector, including representatives from commercial banks.

The SCV initiative is a key strategic priority for KDIC, aimed at enhancing the Corporation’s capacity to promptly and accurately reimburse insured depositors in the event of a bank failure. By enabling financial institutions to generate a consolidated view of customer deposits across multiple accounts and products, SCV plays a critical role in strengthening depositor protection and promoting financial system stability.

The engagement forum provided a valuable platform for dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge exchange. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on the operational, technical, and regulatory dimensions of SCV implementation. The forum also served to clarify expectations, align on timelines, and address potential challenges in the rollout process.

KDIC’s leadership reaffirmed the Corporation’s commitment to working closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of SCV. The Corporation emphasized the importance of data accuracy, system readiness, and continuous engagement in achieving the initiative’s objectives.

The event was marked by active participation and a shared commitment to advancing Kenya’s financial safety net.
