KDIC HOSTS KENYA EDITORS’ GUILD FOR DIALOGUE ON DEPOSIT INSURANCE AND FINANCIAL STABILITY
On the 16th of February 2026, we were delighted to welcome Kenya Editors Guild (KEG) to KDIC for a courtesy visit and an open conversation about deposit insurance and financial stability.
The delegation was led by KEG President, Zubeidah Kananu, alongside CEO Linda Bach and Head of Programmes Emily Kaiga.
Our team was led by Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Hellen Chepkwony, together with Paul Manga (Director, Deposit Insurance and Bank surveillance), David Irungu (Director, Bank Resolution), and Sarah Gatwiri (Deputy Director, Corporate Communications)
It was a meaningful session filled with thoughtful questions and candid discussions on how deposit insurance works, how we protect depositors, and the role of KDIC in ensuring the stability of the banking sector.
We appreciate the engagement and look forward to continued collaboration in promoting informed and responsible financial communication.
