It is the “Platinum Award” for KDIC!

The Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation has scooped the prestigious Platinum Award in recognition of its exemplary service delivery in public service. The award, which is the highest, is based on the Corporation’s outstanding score of 100%   implementation of commitments in the Citizens’ Service Delivery Charter, documentation of processes and sharing  with Huduma Kenya Secretariat (HKS). The requirements were in line with the 2021/-22 Financial Year PC guidelines by the Head of the Public Service, issued to Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

The guidelines provided MDAs to share with HKS electronic copies of their Citizens Service Delivery Charter, Quarterly service monitoring reports and Reengineered service processes.

In a correspondence to his KDIC counterpart Mr Mohamud A. Mohamud, HKS Chief Executive Officer Mr. James Buyekane commended the Corporation for its “excellent service delivery to Kenyans.”

The development that follows concerted efforts by KDIC to improve service delivery,  came as the Corporation prepares for a revamped new dispensation during which it hopes to roll out a number of business-solution innovations key among them an Enterprise Data Warehouse and Electronic Documents and Records Management Systems.

The Corporation has already finalized and rolled out its revised Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity Plan frameworks which are expected to propel it to the next level under the new Strategic Plan expected soon after the current one (2018-2023) comes to an end next year.

KDIC prides itself as the country’s resolution authority, whose mandate is to offer prompt and timely resolution of failed banks; Provide incentives for sound risk management and Provide a deposit insurance scheme to member institutions.
